SummaryWithout the strength of our Estimating team, we would not be able to offer the industry-leading service were known for. Were seeking an experienced Estimating Assistant Professional. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a Estimating Assistant. As a strong communicator and skilled hands-on Estimating Assistant, you will provide support to the estimating department in a construction, manufacturing, or similar industry. This role involves assisting in the preparation of cost estimates bids, and proposals for projects, as well as conducting research, gathering data, and maintaining documentation. You will work closely with estimator, project managers, and other team members to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the estimating process.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Gather and organize project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents for review by estimators.

Input data into estimating software or spreadsheets to generate accurate cost estimates and pricing proposals.

Support the preparation of bid packages, including organizing and formatting documents, drawings, and specifications.

Maintain accurate records of project estimates, bids, and correspondence for future reference and audit purposes.

Organize and archive project files, drawings, and other documentation in accordance with company standards and procedures.

Update databases, spreadsheets, and tracking systems to monitor bid activity, win/loss ratios, and historical performance metrics.

Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather information, resolve queries, and address issues related to estimates and bids.

Participate in meetings and discussions to provide input and support decision-making processes related to estimating and bid strategy.

Any other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Four (4) year degree or equivalent in work experience. Previous experience in an administrative or support role within a manufacturing or estimating environment is beneficial.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and build positive relationships with colleagues and external partners.

Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.

Adaptability and willingness to learn new software, tools, and processes as required.

Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and professionalism in all aspects of work.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position operates in a professional office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
No travel is required for this position. 1st shift
