Stucco Estimator/ Project Manager Leasure Group Union City, CA Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications Construction industry experience Estimating construction project budgets Construction stakeholder communication Full Job Description We're hiring a Senior Stucco Estimator/Project Manager to prepare accurate, competitive bids for commercial and multi-family lath, plaster, EIFS, and scaffold projects across California and Nevada. This is a senior individual-contributor role working alongside our Chief Estimator — you'll take the lead on complex, high-dollar bids, mentor less-experienced estimators, and be the person the team turns to when a bid gets complicated. You'll also be expected to engage in business development, meeting with the General Manager at least twice a month. What You'll Do Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for lath, plaster, EIFS, and scaffold, and related exterior finish systems from architectural and structural drawings Prepare complete, competitive estimates for commercial and multi-family projects, applying current material pricing, labor rates, and production rates Review plans, specifications, addenda, and RFIs to identify scope, conflicts, missing information, and potential change-order exposure before bid submission Solicit and evaluate material and sub-tier pricing from vendors and suppliers Lead pricing and proposal development for the largest and most complex bids in the pipeline Participate in pre-bid meetings, job walks, and scope reviews Support project turnover, communicating estimate assumptions, exclusions, and production expectations to the project management team Mentor and provide guidance to junior estimators as needed Maintain working knowledge of project management and be able to step into a PM role when required Be comfortable and open to working with AI-assisted tools as part of the estimating workflow What You Bring 8+ years of commercial construction estimating experience, with lath, plaster, EIFS, scaffold, or closely related exterior-finish/Division 09 trades strongly preferred Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and detail drawings Proficiency with estimating/takeoff software such as Bluebeam Working knowledge of Sage construction accounting/estimating modules a plus Strong understanding of California construction practices; Nevada experience a plus given cross-state project coverage Ability to manage multiple active bids and deadlines simultaneously Strong written and verbal communication skills for working with project managers, superintendents, vendors, and general contractors Nice to Have Experience estimating public works / prevailing wage projects Existing relationships with lath, plaster, and exterior-finish material suppliers in the Sacramento/Reno markets Experience mentoring or leading other estimators
