In this role, you will assist in preparing accurate electrical project estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and bid documents. The Jr Electrical Estimator will play a vital role in supporting project teams through precise cost analysis, effective communication, and diligent documentation. Responsibilities Review electrical drawings, specifications, and scope of work to develop comprehensive estimates. Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam to prepare detailed cost proposals. Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing information and negotiate favorable terms. Assist in analyzing project requirements to ensure accurate labor, material, and equipment costs. Support the development of bid packages, including scope clarification and risk assessment. Maintain organized records of all estimate documentation, including revisions and correspondence. Contribute to project cost control efforts by monitoring budget adherence throughout the bidding process. Skills Proficiency with construction estimating tools such as HeavyBid and Bluebeam. Strong understanding of electrical systems, NEC (National Electrical Code), and construction principles. Excellent negotiation skills for obtaining competitive pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Knowledge of construction site operations, project management, and contract administration. Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contracts accurately. Effective communication skills for coordinating with team members, clients, and suppliers. Prior electrical or construction site experience is highly desirable for success in this role.
