This role is ideal for someone who can estimate the work, help win the project, and then manage it from start to finish. This is not an estimating role where the job gets handed off after award, and it is not a PM role where someone else built the bid. You will own projects from bid through closeout . Why This Opportunity $100K-$140K/year DOE Denver Metro projects No overnight travel Monday-Friday schedule Established heavy civil contractor with a strong local presence High level of ownership from estimating through project completion Work hard, play hard culture Fun, social, outgoing team that genuinely enjoys working together Strong leadership without being micromanaged Supportive manager with a hands-off, trust-but-verify leadership style Responsibilities Estimate heavy civil and underground utility projects Perform takeoffs, pricing, and bid preparation Review plans, specifications, and project requirements Develop competitive bids and proposals Manage awarded projects from kickoff through completion Own budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost control Coordinate with field leadership, subcontractors, vendors, and clients Manage change orders, RFIs, and project documentation Track production, costs, and overall project performance Maintain strong relationships with owners, municipalities, and project partners Drive projects through successful closeout Qualifications 5+ years of project management and estimating experience Underground wet utility experience is required Heavy civil construction background is required Experience estimating and managing projects from bid through closeout Strong understanding of earthwork, underground utilities, and civil construction Experience with Bluebeam Experience with B2W/Bid2Win or similar estimating software Strong financial understanding of project budgets, costs, and forecasting Confident communicator who works well with both field and office teams Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable operating with autonomy Ideal Fit This is a great fit for someone who enjoys ownership, autonomy, and a team environment.
