The company focuses on safe, efficient earthwork and site development, supporting projects from initial ground preparation through project completion. Team members work closely with project owners, contractors, and suppliers to deliver accurate, timely results in a field-based environment. Role Description The Project Estimator is a full-time, on-site role based in Keenesburg, CO. This position is responsible for reviewing project plans, specifications, and site conditions to prepare accurate cost estimates for excavation and related construction work. Day-to-day tasks include performing quantity takeoffs, gathering and analyzing pricing from vendors and subcontractors, and developing detailed proposals and bid packages. The Project Estimator collaborates with project managers and field supervisors to refine estimates, track changes, and support budget management throughout the project lifecycle. The role also involves maintaining estimating tools and databases, participating in bid reviews, and communicating clearly with internal teams and external partners to ensure estimates align with project goals and timelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Cost Management and Budgeting to develop and maintain accurate project financials. Candidates should possess proven Construction Estimating and Project Estimation skills for preparing bids and detailed scopes of work. Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to work with project teams, vendors, and clients. Candidates should possess proficiency with estimating software, spreadsheet tools, and basic construction math. Experiance with B2W Estimate and Trimble Business Center is a plus. Candidates should possess knowledge of excavation, underground utilities and general construction practices, safety standards, and local regulations. Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines. Relevant experience as an estimator or in construction project management is preferred; a technical or construction-related education is beneficial.
