We specialize in heavy civil construction including site work, earthwork, utilities, drainage, and roadway projects. Position Overview This hybrid role supports both estimating and project management. The primary role will focus on estimating and securing work. During certain periods depending on workload the role can transition into managing active projects in the field. Key Responsibilities Prepare cost estimates for heavy civil projects Analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates Perform quantity takeoffs and analyze bid documents Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Manage projects from award through closeout Coordinate with crews, subs, and clients Handle RFIs, submittals, and change orders Qualifications 5-10+ years in heavy civil estimating and/or project management Bachelor's degree preferably in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field Strong knowledge of site work, utilities, and infrastructure Ability to read plans and specs Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills Strong communication and organizational skills Experience with computer software•Excel, Agtek, On-Screen Takeoff, Construction Link Direct experience with State of Connecticut DAS and CTDOT bidding requirements, specifications, and final bid preparation a plus Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health and dental insurance 401K + Match Paid time off•vacation, sick, holidays
