Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction management and estimating, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial for ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule while maintaining high-quality standards. Responsibilities Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and scope. Utilize estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid to create detailed estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate pricing. Prepare detailed proposals, including pricing breakdowns, timelines, and contract terms. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable pricing and terms. Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid packages and assisting in bid evaluations. Skills Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Proficiency in construction estimating techniques and methodologies. Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Solid negotiation skills to secure competitive prices from vendors and subcontractors. Familiarity with cost control measures to maintain project budgets. Experience using estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid is highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost assessments. Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
