Job Summary:
Responsible for preparing and/or coordinating the preparation of full estimates on large and complex projects as required by client's documents and provide complete conceptual and total bid price.Job Duties:
Review and evaluate requests for estimates and project quotes, as needed Prepare weekly bid calendar and ensure timely completion of estimates Prepare and review estimates and revisions for completeness and accuracy. Create job folders Input take-offs of construction documents Review construction documents and understand scope of work to bid Obtain pricing for materials Obtain bids from subcontractors Prepare cost analysis in NEFCO's Enterprise Resource Planning System, Eclipse, by recapitulating material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead cost incurred in the installation of strut grid projects. Make an estimate where predetermined standards are not available Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or computer database Develop and maintain cost data, including labor, equipment, and production rates Maintain estimating procedures and guidelines Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors Attend branch meetingsRequirements:
Qualifications:
Demonstrate strong ability to work in fast paced, high pressure environment Excellent computer skills and capability to adeptly operate Eclipse, Microsoft Office Suite and any other software required Strong customer service skills Maintain excellent regular attendance, punctuality to ensure a high-quality and timely response for customers Must perform work accurately and with a sense of urgency and integrity while paying strict attention to detail College degree preferred 3-5 years of work experienceEssential Functions:
