Description The Cost Estimator will review and evaluate incoming RFQ's and prepare cost estimates in collaboration with
Engineering Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Review and evaluate incoming RFQ's. Prepare cost estimates for new products collaborating with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, etc., to meet customer RFQ requirements. Establish bill of materials and outside service operations. Collaborate with the Purchasing group on RFQ requirements. Establish manufacturing sequence and calculated set-up and cycle times for manufacturing. Compile all required data for quotes to meet requested customer due dates
Position Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Must possess basic understanding in machining concepts. Demonstrated ability to read and understand part drawings. Knowledge of aerospace specifications is desirable. Knowledge of basic math. Knowledgeable with computer software including Word, Excel, Outlook Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as keen attention to detail. May be assigned to carry out tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of company objectives and to develop individual skills.
Education & Experience Required:
5+ years of estimating experience in the Aerospace industry. Preferred knowledge in CNC Programming and estimating software. Self-directed; ability to multi-task, follow-up, and prioritize, completing assignments in a timely manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay:
$87,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
