THE ROLE
We're looking for an experienced Estimator to partner with our business development and project management teams to deliver best-in-class service to customers. You'll evaluate sites, scope work, navigate the insurance claims process, and build the relationships that keep jobs moving from signed contract to satisfied customer. This role sits at the intersection of sales and estimating — you're not just writing numbers, you're helping clients understand why TRG is the right partner, removing the obstacles that stand between a lead and a signed job, and making sure every project is properly scoped and profitably executed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Estimating Use Xactimate to create detailed, insurance-ready estimates for residential and commercial restoration and reconstruction projects Communicate clearly with insurance companies and adjusters to resolve questions and reach agreed figures Identify and write supplements regularly — get them approved and documented Identify and write change orders as needed; communicate with clients to get approval and signatures Keep all job management systems and tracking tools up to date with accurate estimates and figures Respond promptly to requests from project managers, accounting, and leadership regarding estimate status and billing updates Sales & Client Relationships Perform on-site property evaluations and develop scopes of work for insurance loss projects Help sell clients on TRG — articulate our value clearly and confidently Build and maintain relationships with B2B clients including property managers, facility managers, and HOA board members Identify obstacles preventing a job from moving to contract and find solutions or alternative paths forward Exhaust all options before closing a lead — document all final communications when a file is closed Meet property managers on-site prior to evaluations; provide an overview of the process and a post-evaluation debrief Reporting & Collaboration Provide regular profitability performance reports to leadership Attend company, client, and adjuster meetings as scheduled Coordinate daily with project and estimating coordinators to ensure accurate status updates Collaborate with the team on complex projects that have hit roadblocks — surface options and drive resolution
WHAT YOU NEED
Required:
5+ years of experience creating estimates for residential rebuild and restoration projects using Xactimate Experience collaborating with project managers, clients, and insurance adjusters to scope, complete, and bill projects Strong communication skills — effective with adjusters, clients, and internal teams Comfortable in a sales role — able to build relationships and move jobs forward Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through
Preferred:
Experience with DASH or other restoration job management software Background working on high-rise or mid-rise condominium projects Familiarity with TPA platforms and insurance claims workflows
