Minimum 5 years of relevant commercial sales, estimating, construction, property management, or remodeling experience. About the Position We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and relationship-driven Commercial Estimator / Outside Sales Representative to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who understands the commercial construction and remodeling environment and has a proven history of successfully developing business, building long-term relationships, identifying opportunities, preparing estimates, and closing sales. The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with commercial property owners, property managers, general contractors, builders, developers, facility managers, or other commercial decision-makers. We are looking for someone who is more than an estimator. We are looking for a relationship builder and business developer who can turn opportunities into profitable projects and long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Commercial Sales & Business Development- Develop and maintain strong relationships with commercial property owners, property managers, general contractors, builders, developers, and other decision-makers.
- Identify new commercial sales opportunities through networking, prospecting, referrals, existing relationships, and market development.
- Make regular outside sales calls and visit prospective and existing customers.
- Develop a pipeline of qualified commercial opportunities.
- Follow up consistently with prospects and customers to move opportunities toward a successful close.
- Build long-term relationships that generate repeat and referral business.
- Represent the company professionally and serve as a trusted resource for customers.
- Research and identify upcoming construction, remodeling, renovation, and property improvement opportunities.
- Work with customers to understand their needs, scope of work, budgets, timelines, and expectations. Estimating
- Visit commercial properties and job sites to evaluate projects and determine scope of work.
- Prepare accurate, detailed, and competitive estimates and proposals.
- Review plans, specifications, measurements, photos, and project requirements when applicable.
- Determine labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor, and other project costs.
- Identify potential challenges or changes in scope before submitting proposals.
- Clearly communicate estimates and proposals to customers.
- Follow up on proposals and address customer questions or concerns.
- Work closely with operations and production teams to ensure projects are properly scoped and sold. Customer & Relationship Management
- Maintain consistent communication throughout the sales and estimating process.
- Develop trusted relationships with key commercial accounts.
- Understand each customer's business and look for opportunities to provide additional services.
- Maintain accurate records of prospects, opportunities, estimates, follow-ups, and customer interactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after the sale. Results & Accountability
- Meet or exceed established sales and revenue goals.
- Maintain a healthy pipeline of commercial opportunities.
- Track estimates, proposals, closing rates, and sales results.
- Take ownership of opportunities from initial contact through closing.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of profitability and the importance of selling projects that are properly scoped and priced. Required Qualifications Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Commercial outside sales
- Commercial construction
- New construction
- Property management
- Commercial remodeling
- Construction estimating
- Building materials or building products sales
- Restoration or renovation
- Facilities management
- General contracting or subcontracting. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a proven track record of success. Candidates will be expected to provide specific examples of their previous experience, including:
- Types of commercial customers they have worked with
- Examples of new business they personally developed
- Examples of relationships they established that resulted in sales
- Typical annual sales volume or revenue responsibility
- Examples of successfully closing significant commercial projects
- Experience preparing estimates and proposals
- Experience working with property managers, general contractors, builders, developers, or commercial property owners
- Examples of repeat business generated from customer relationships

- Experience using CRM, estimating, or project management software
- A demonstrated history of generating repeat commercial business
- An established network of commercial contacts
