ESTIMATOR

- Division 12 Interior Specialties is looking for an experienced full-time Estimator to support the estimating and preconstruction efforts in our office in Altamonte Springs. The Estimator will review project and pricing information in order to compile competitive bids for Window Treatments under Division 12 scope on commercial projects in the healthcare, multifamily, hospitality, education and general commercial markets. The Estimator will be responsible for coordinating multiple streams of information on multiple projects at one time. The Estimator will directly perform many of the essential functions of the preconstruction department, which may include but are not limited to: Review Invitations to Bid for relevant scope and information; Set up and categorize project files; Review project documents including drawings and specifications; Preform quantity takeoff's and identification of scope; Create and develop labor and material take-offs; Seek competitive pricing from vendors; Determine pricing, both bid and budget estimates; Assemble bids and create rough and firm estimates based on project deliverables; Manage alternates, bulletins, addenda and change order; Maintain current and upcoming bid list; Create and obtain clarifications for RFI's; Presentation of estimates to clients; Follow up on submitted bids to close deal; Turn over job to construction operations team; Perform other duties as required to achieve the goals of the Preconstruction Department; Participate in weekly meetings with Preconstruction Team. The Estimator should possess the following knowledge, skill and abilities: Working knowledge of the window shade industry Strong math skills; Ability to learn new product information in a rapid manner; Be proficient and able to work with computer software programs used in preconstruction; Possess strong mathematical and computer skills. Proficiency with all MS Office products (Word, Excel, Access), prior use of Bluebeam is a plus; Excellent time management and organizational skills; Excellent problem solving skills; Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities; Ability to work in a team environment and fit in with company core values; Ability to professionally operate in a fast-paced environment maintained by a company in a positive, controlled growth mode; Must be able to meet deadlines and put in the time needed to get the job done; Associate or Bachelor degree in construction, architecture or engineering is preferred; General knowledge of the construction industry; Strong communication skills;

Estimator:

1-2 years of commercial construction experience and prior estimating experience preferred

Estimator:
