Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts Position Summary We are seeking a Planner Estimator II to support maintenance, outage, and capital project activities at multiple power generation facilities. This role is responsible for planning, scheduling, estimating, and coordinating contractor work from project initiation through completion while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Develop work scopes, estimates, schedules, and contractor work packages. Coordinate maintenance, outage, and capital project activities across multiple power plants. Monitor project schedules using Primavera P6 and track key performance metrics. Collaborate with construction supervisors, contractors, and plant personnel to ensure successful project execution. Review contractor proposals, approve invoices, and manage project costs. Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental requirements, and company standards. Maintain accurate project documentation and communicate schedule updates to stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve productivity and reduce overtime costs.
Qualifications Required:
High School Diploma or GED. 6+ years of experience in planning, scheduling, maintenance coordination, or project support within a power plant, utility, or heavy industrial environment. Experience developing work plans, schedules, and cost estimates. Strong knowledge of maintenance and outage planning practices. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Business, or related field. Experience creating detailed work packages. Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar scheduling software. Understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling. Ideal Background Candidates with experience in power generation, utilities, refineries, chemical plants, paper mills, steel mills, manufacturing facilities, or other heavy industrial environments are encouraged to apply.
