• Full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented division 9 Estimator/ Project Manager to join our estimating team in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for various construction projects. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management, cost control, and project management principles, as well as the ability to negotiate effectively with clients and subcontractors. Responsibilities Lead and manage the estimating team to ensure timely and accurate preparation of estimates for construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates. Collaborate with project managers to assess project requirements and develop effective estimating strategies. Utilize Bluebeam and other software tools to facilitate the estimating process and enhance accuracy. Conduct thorough reviews of bids from subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with project specifications. Negotiate pricing with vendors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms for the company. Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle of construction to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating. Skills Strong background in contract management and construction management principles. Proficient in construction estimating techniques and methodologies. Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving competitive pricing. Familiarity with Onscreen Takeoff for digital takeoffs and estimating processes. Solid understanding of cost control measures within a construction environment. Effective project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Experience working on construction sites is a plus, providing practical insight into project execution.
