We are a multi-trade contractor providing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and generator services , giving the right estimator an opportunity that goes beyond a traditional electrical estimating position. In addition to estimating and securing commercial electrical projects, this position offers commission opportunities for work sold across all four of our divisions. We are looking for someone who can accurately estimate commercial electrical projects, build relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors, and help turn those opportunities into profitable work. Responsibilities Prepare accurate estimates for commercial electrical projects Review electrical drawings, specifications, addenda, and project requirements Perform material and labor takeoffs Develop project pricing, proposals, and scopes of work Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing Identify exclusions, clarifications, alternates, and potential project risks Communicate with general contractors, owners, vendors, engineers, and project personnel Follow up on proposals and actively work to convert estimates into awarded projects Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits when necessary Identify additional opportunities involving HVAC, plumbing, generators, service work, and other electrical work Work with management and field personnel to ensure estimates reflect actual installation requirements and company standards Assist with project handoff after award What We're Looking For Commercial electrical estimating experience strongly preferred Strong understanding of commercial and residential electrical systems, materials, and installation methods Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and one-line diagrams Knowledge of labor costs Understanding of the National Electrical Code and common commercial construction requirements Strong computer and organizational skills Ability to communicate professionally with customers, contractors, vendors, and coworkers Strong attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple bids and deadlines Sales ability and a desire to pursue and close profitable work Experience as a residential electrical estimator, project manager, commercial electrician, or electrical foreman may be considered depending on qualifications. Compensation This position is designed to reward performance. Compensation includes base pay plus commission.
