Job Summary:

CT Mechanical, a is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team. As an Estimator, you will play a vital role in bidding and winning projects by accurately assessing and estimating costs for commercial plumbing installations. If you have a minimum of 5-10 years of related experience, this role may just be perfect for you. You'll utilize your expertise to review drawings, perform detailed take-offs, and compile estimates using industry-standard software. Role and Responsibilities:

Review construction documents and drawings to identify piping materials, specific job requirements, and deviations from standard practices. Execute detailed take-offs of construction documents using estimating software tools. Compile take-offs and equipment summaries into comprehensive project estimates. Obtain pricing for specialty materials and solicit bids from subcontractors and vendors. Draft and finalize proposals, bid forms, and cost breakouts. Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, and government requirements. Coordinate bid calendar for takeoff purposes and attend departmental meetings. Review bid documents and specifications for project-specific requirements. Inform immediate supervisor of any observed inaccuracies or omissions in quoted items or database.

Requirements & Qualifications:

Minimum of 5-10 years of related experience in commercial plumbing estimation. Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents, drawings, and specifications. Leadership skills with the ability to multitask and perform duties in a fast-paced environment. Experience with estimating techniques, cost control, and labor/material take-offs. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Bid software. Familiarity with the MCAA labor book and industry-standard estimation software such as Estimation Viewpoint or Trimble Autobid. Strong critical thinking and technical writing skills for drafting proposals. Knowledge of a variety of mechanical and plumbing systems and equipment. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and committed to accuracy in all aspects of work.

Physical/Work Environment Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
