full-time Heavy Civil / Utility Estimator - Jacksonville, FL If your background is in heavy civil estimating and you know underground utilities, sitework, and Florida dirt, this position could be a great step in your career! Our client is a respected, national civil contractor looking for an experienced estimator to support a growing pipeline of water, wastewater, stormwater, lift station, pump station, treatment plants, and related civil infrastructure projects in Northeast Florida. You'll be a strong match if you specialize in estimating things like: Water, sewer/wastewater, and stormwater systems Gravity and pressure pipe Lift stations, pump stations, and treatment plants Mass excavation for private and public development projects Florida soils and groundwater conditions Dewatering methods such as sock drains, wellpoints, and Kelly wells Concrete and related civil scopes The day-to-day work will involve building complete estimates, performing quantity takeoffs, evaluating labor and equipment production, reviewing subcontractor and material pricing, identifying project risks, and helping the team put together competitive bids. Experience with HCSS HeavyBid is strongly preferred, and familiarity with tools like Bluebeam, HeavyJob, Primavera P6, Procore, or similar construction software is helpful. The ideal person will have several yearsof relevant civil estimating experience . A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred, but practical heavy-civil experience is more important. If this sounds like a great fit for you, apply today!
