Our in-house design build specialists, who include architects, designers, and project managers, carry out building projects from conception to completion. Complete refers to full service in every stage of construction, from building foundation and land preparation to a full range of services like carpentry, electrical, framing, drywall, painting, and flooring. We look for the best of the best!
Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring that all factors are considered to provide competitive and profitable bids. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and possess excellent analytical skills to evaluate project specifications and requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for estimates.
Evaluate labor, material, and time requirements to develop comprehensive cost assessments.
Prepare detailed proposals and bid submissions in a timely manner.
Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to assess project conditions and requirements.
Continuously update and maintain cost databases and historical data for future reference.
Assist in the negotiation process with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain the best pricing.
Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to cost estimates.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred not required.
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction industry, preferably in commercial projects.
Strong understanding of construction methodologies and processes.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
