Long Term Contract Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Estimator (Level 1) to join our growing estimating team. This is an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to build expertise in cost estimation across a diverse portfolio of renewable energy and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will support the development of accurate cost estimates, pricing models, and project evaluations while collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies including wind, solar, energy storage, transmission & distribution, substations, water treatment, and more. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates (conceptual, preliminary, and definitive) for various infrastructure and energy projects Assist in conceptual engineering design and development of preliminary construction plans Analyze project drawings, specifications, and documentation to ensure estimate accuracy Perform value engineering to identify cost optimization opportunities Develop and maintain estimating tools, cost databases, and methodologies Conduct risk analysis and support contingency planning Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and subcontractors for pricing inputs Track project costs, variances, and update estimates throughout project lifecycle Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulations Present estimates and findings to internal stakeholders and leadership Required Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to learn quickly and work in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Internship or hands-on experience in construction, engineering, or estimating Experience with estimation tools (PlanSwift, WinEst, CostX, or similar) Familiarity with project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6)
