Full Job Description Job Status:
Full Time Position. Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location:
In-Office Lakeland, FL.
Position Summary:
Responsible for the review and analysis of material take-offs for all new master models and revised master model home plans to aid in cost savings. Works with Purchasing Department and field construction managers. Duties /
Responsibilities:
Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare material and labor budgets for new plans as well as make suggestions to increase our value engineering. Create and issue VPO's to vendors and modify existing budgets/take-offs. Review and validate take-offs and make necessary adjustments. Consult with vendors, personnel in construction departments or construction Superintendents to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues. Provide cost/benefit analysis for new and existing products. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Associate's degree or Equivalent experience Must be able to perform consistent, accurate, and detail-oriented work. Must be able to critically think through workflow steps and the interrelation of workflow and impact to other team members. Ability to understand construction means and methods. Ability to read construction plans. Highly motivated Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required Follow directions from a supervisor Interact well with co-workers Understand and follow work rules and procedures Accept constructive feedback Team player Valid driver's license
Required:
Intermediate computer skills -
Microsoft Word and Excel Preferred:
Minimum 1 year experience in the residential construction industry. Working knowledge of Planswift Software or similar construction take-off software. Working knowledge of RFMS Flooring or similar takeoff Software.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to consistently operate a computer and other office productivity machinery such as telephone, calculator, copy machine, computer printer, etc. Must be able to communicate with others via phone, email, and in person. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others. Constantly works in an indoor, temperature-controlled, sealed-window office environment. Work primarily involves sitting / standing.
