Position Overview Dade Electric Service is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for electrical construction projects throughout South Florida. The Electrical Estimator will analyze project plans and specifications, quantify materials and labor, coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors, and support the company's bidding and project acquisition efforts. Key Responsibilities Review electrical drawings, specifications, and bid documents Prepare detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment Perform material takeoffs and quantity surveys Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes Prepare competitive bid proposals and bid summaries Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and leadership during the bidding process Identify value engineering opportunities and cost efficiencies Maintain accurate estimate documentation and bid records Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits when required Support project handoff to the operations team after contract award Qualifications 5+ years of electrical estimating experience Strong knowledge of commercial and industrial electrical systems Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and contract documents Experience in preparing accurate material takeoffs and labor estimates Strong analytical and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines Experience using Bluebeam, Accubid, or similar estimating software Experience with municipal infrastructure or wastewater treatment plant projects Familiarity with medium-voltage electrical systems Experience bidding on commercial, institutional, or public sector projects Compensation & Benefits We offer a competitive compensation package and strong employee benefits, including: Company-paid healthcare Company-paid Medicare taxes Dental and vision coverage 401(k) retirement plan Gas and travel reimbursement Professional and stable work environment Long-term career opportunities with an established South Florida contractor.
