Job Requirements :
Associate or bachelors degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. Knowledge of Central Florida construction market conditions and local subcontractor base is a plus. Minimum of one year of experience estimating and cost analysis skills for commercial construction projects, including quantity takeoffs and budget development. Proficiency with construction estimating software, spreadsheets, and digital plan review tools. Understanding construction means and methods, building materials, and subcontractor scopes. Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and project specifications. Communication and collaboration skills to work with project teams, trade partners, and clients. Organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy. Relevant experience as an Estimator or in preconstruction, project management, or field operations in commercial construction. Commitment to ethical practices, safety, and continuous professional development. Employer conducts background check and drug testing.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. Reviewing plans and specifications . Perform quantity takeoffs. Source pricing from subcontractors and suppliers . Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs . Prepare bid proposals and assist in value engineering to support project feasibility and profitability. Collaborate closely with project managers, superintendents, and leadership to refine budgets, update estimates as designs evolve, and support preconstruction planning. Maintain historical cost data, track market trends, and contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools.
Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Salary:
$44,000 to $75,000 yearly. Depends On Experience.
