Overview We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Construction Estimator with strong technical and analytical skills to join our team. This role is designed for individuals with solid estimating experience who are ready to transition into heavy civil construction (sitework, utilities, earthwork).This is not an entry-level position—we are looking for someone who already understands estimating fundamentals and can quickly take ownership of their work. Key Responsibilities Analyze project plans, specifications, and bid documents with minimal oversight Perform accurate digital takeoffs and scope breakdowns Build complete, well-structured estimates using Excel and estimating software Manage and track opportunities across multiple bid platforms (BidNet, DemandStar, BuildingConnected, etc.) Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing Support the preparation of competitive, well-documented bids Progressively take on civil/sitework estimating responsibilities Required Qualifications (Must Have) Proven experience in construction estimating or project engineering Strong Excel skills (ability to build and manage detailed estimates) Experience with takeoff software such as Bluebeam (or equivalent) Demonstrated ability to navigate bid platforms and plan rooms independently High level of organization, accuracy, and accountability Ability to manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously Preferred (Adds Strong Advantage) Experience in civil construction, sitework, utilities, or earthwork Familiarity with Agtek, HCSS, or similar civil estimating software Background in commercial, MEP, or restoration estimating What Sets This Role Apart Direct path into heavy civil/infrastructure estimating Hands-on training paired with real project responsibility High visibility role working directly with leadership Long-term growth based on performance—not tenure How to Apply Submit your resume with: A brief summary of your estimating experience List of software/tools you've used (Excel, Bluebeam, etc.) Example project types or scopes you've estimated Applications without relevant estimating experience will not be considered.
