  • Friday, standard business hours Overview We are seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator to join our team in Orlando, FL.
This role is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive estimates for a variety of commercial roofing projects including new construction, re-roofs, and restoration/coatings. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of roofing systems, and the ability to manage multiple bids in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Estimating & Project Analysis Review blueprints, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope Perform take-offs and quantify materials with speed and accuracy Conduct site visits as needed to gather project details Manage a high volume of bids across multiple project types Cost Development Build detailed estimates including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead Utilize estimating software to produce accurate proposals and budgets Leverage historical data to compare costs and improve accuracy Vendor & Subcontractor Coordination Solicit and evaluate pricing from vendors and subcontractors Partner with internal teams to validate scope, pricing, and timelines Team & Client Collaboration Work closely with Sales and Project Management teams from pre-bid through project completion Build relationships with General Contractors and follow up on bids Data & Reporting Maintain historical cost data and bid records Prepare and present estimates to internal stakeholders and clients Market Awareness & Compliance Stay current on roofing systems, materials, and local building codes Ensure all estimates meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards Qualifications 3+ years of commercial roofing estimating experience Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods Experience with The EDGE estimating software required Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating tools Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites Work Environment Combination of office work and field/site visits Exposure to varying weather conditions during site inspections Occasional overtime to meet bid deadlines Comfortable working at heights when necessary Preferred (Not Required) Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software OSHA 10 or 30 certification Bilingual (English/Spanish) Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, Life & Disability Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off Health Savings Account Equal Opportunity Employer What You'll Get Competitive compensation with performance incentives Career growth and advancement opportunities Company-provided technology and tools Ongoing training and development Strong team support and collaborative environment #INDHP
