Job Title Planner/Estimator Location Panama City, FL 32401 US (Primary) US Job Type Full-time Education Associate Degree Career Level Experienced (Non-Manager) Category Information Technology Job Description EPS Corporation Company is seeking a highly skilled Planner & Estimator Requirements EPS Corporation is looking for a skilledPlanner/Estimator supports DoD and U.S. Navy fabrication projects by reviewing engineering drawings, specifications, statements of work, technical requirements, and customer requirements to develop accurate estimates and detailed production plans. This position evaluates project scope and determines the labor, materials, equipment, tooling, and time required to complete fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, repair, and modification work. The Planner/Estimator works closely with engineers, welders, fabricators, machinists, production supervisors, project managers, procurement personnel, and government customers to develop work packages, establish labor-hour estimates, identify required materials, and ensure work can be completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with contract requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Review engineering drawings, blueprints, technical specifications, SOWs, CDRLs, and work instructions to determine project requirements.
• Develop detailed estimates for labor hours, materials, equipment, tooling, subcontractor support, and other direct costs.
• Perform material take-offs and determine quantities of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, pipe, plate, structural shapes, fasteners, welding consumables, coatings, and other fabrication materials.
• Estimate labor requirements for welding, fabrication, machining, fitting, assembly, installation, inspection, testing, and repair activities.
• Develop detailed job plans, work packages, production sequences, and estimated completion schedules.
• Review drawings and specifications for fabrication requirements, tolerances, dimensions, weld symbols, materials, and inspection requirements.
• Coordinate with shop personnel to establish realistic labor standards and production requirements.
• Research material and subcontractor pricing and coordinate with procurement to obtain current pricing and lead times.
• Identify long-lead materials, specialty tooling, equipment requirements, and potential production constraints.
• Develop estimates for new fabrication, repair, modification, overhaul, and maintenance projects.
• Review existing work packages and historical production data to improve future labor and material estimates.
• Track changes in scope and provide revised estimates when drawings, specifications, or customer requirements change.
