Systems Associate Estimator Power Design, Inc. - 3.8 Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Vendor relationship building Employee relationship building Research Construction plans Construction drawing review Full Job Description About the Position The Systems Associate Estimator is a critical part of the low voltage systems team located in our corporate office in St. Petersburg, FL, working directly with our vendors and design team to produce accurate bid packages for all of our low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, and structured cabling systems. Position Responsibilities Communicate with vendors and clients to build relationships, define the project scope, address any deficiencies and negotiate pricing Research quotes for material and labor from our suppliers and subcontractors Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards Partner with Power Design's construction project management team to properly transfer awarded projects and perform buyouts when necessary Here's What We're Looking For 1 or more years of relevant technical estimating experience Knowledge of low voltage systems (Wi-Fi, structured cabling, CCTV, and access control systems); knowledge of nurse call and patient tracking systems a plus Must be able to interpret construction documents and bid proposals Ability to maintain excellent relationships, work well in a team environment and provide a high level of customer service Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment Proficient in Microsoft Office and estimating software (Accubid preferred) Demonstrate and uphold all of Power Design's core values, which include integrity, accountability, teamwork, innovation and growth At Power Design, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
