Project Estimator Commercial Stone & Cabinet Fabricators, LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Project Estimator to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for multifamily cabinet and countertop projects. CSCF is a 100% employee-owned company based in St. Petersburg, Florida. The ideal candidate can read construction plans and specifications, perform material takeoffs, identify project requirements, and manage multiple bids in a deadline-driven environment. Key Responsibilities Review drawings, specifications, proposals, and other bid documents. Prepare accurate material quantity takeoffs and project estimates. Analyze labor, material, subcontractor, and project-related costs. Estimate projects during both schematic and fully designed stages. Develop scopes of work for bid packages. Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing. Identify discrepancies, missing information, errors, and conflicts in bid documents. Submit RFIs or request additional information when necessary. Complete bid forms accurately and meet all submission deadlines. Prepare clear numerical and written estimate summaries. Follow up with contractors and organize bid results. Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and project meetings as needed. Coordinate with office and project staff regarding job costs, contracts, invoicing, and lien waivers. Monitor industry trends and their potential effect on material and project costs. Manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously. Qualifications At least one year of construction estimating experience preferred. Experience working for a general contractor, subcontractor, cabinet company, countertop fabricator, or related construction business preferred. Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or a related field preferred, but relevant experience will also be considered. Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, plans, and specifications. Experience preparing material quantity takeoffs. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities. High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other construction-related software. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and ask for assistance when needed.
