Hall Company, we take pride in delivering excellence in heavy civil construction, site development, and underground utilities. We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join our growing team. This role plays a key part in analyzing bid specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with project leaders to ensure every bid is accurate, competitive, and aligned with company goals. What You'll Do The Senior Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed, accurate and competitive cost estimates for complex commercial and/or residential construction projects. This role plays a critical part in the preconstruction process by analyzing project documents, collaborating with stakeholders, and developing comprehensive budgets and proposals that align with company goals, standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, GeoTechnical reports and other documents.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for all phases of construction (conceptual, schematic, design development, and final construction documents).
  • Review and analyze soil conditions, environmental reports, and site logistics for complex infrastructure projects.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs as needed, and review Take-Offs by others.
  • Analyze earthwork models, review Propeller data (if applicable) and utilize in proposals
  • Collaborate with operations team for lessons learned, issues encountered and actual costs.
  • Review PowerBI data for historical production and cost data.
  • Provide estimating support/training as needed to the Project Management team.
  • Lead or assist in value engineering efforts, alternate cost scenarios and identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Analyzing unit cost, determining total project cost, and identifying potential variances.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and owners to ensure estimates meet project requirements.
  • Stay current with FDOT specifications, environmental regulations, and all other public works/municipality requirements.
  • Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations.
  • Prepare Preliminary Schedules if required by the owner to be submitted with proposals.
  • Create proposals packages with cover sheets and exhibits to download.
  • Maintain and update historical cost databases and estimating tools.
  • Assist in the development and mentoring of junior estimators.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory
