Job Description

Estimator Kessler Construction LLC is in search of a full-time Estimator. Who Are We? Kessler Construction LLC is a design-build residential construction management company. Our purpose is to provide work-class design and building services focusing on custom homes. Since 2007, Kessler Construction LLC has embraced their vision of being the preeminent leader in luxurious innovative design and superior construction of Residential Homes. Empowered, community‐minded Team Members and business partners provide uncompromising service guaranteeing life‐long client relationships. As the Estimator , you will work closely with the Estimating Manager to accurately assess project costs, analyze blueprints, and provide cost estimates to ensure projects are completed within budget. What you'll do:
  • Analyze and gather project requirements from multiple sources (plans, notes, pictures, etc.)
  • Collaborate with Pre-Construction Consultant, trade partners, engineers, draftsman and architects during estimate creation in order to ensure overall accuracy.
  • Extract Measurements from plans using takeoff software.
  • Interact with clients to understand and incorporate project requirements.
  • Obtain bids from trade partners by specifying scope of work and materials to be used.
  • Analyze trade partner bids to project requirements to ensure compliance.
  • Estimate materials using takeoff worksheets.
  • Create detailed cost estimates in project management system using templates and adds project specific details.
  • Estimate change orders and process through project management system.
  • Keep project progress up to date in project management system.
  • Maintain quality service by following organization standards and processes.
  • Maintain price templates by updating information.
  • Maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times.
  • Meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

What you'll need: High School Diploma
  • Knowledge of residential and/or commercial construction
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Strong math skills What you'll bring: Strong written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail and exceptional time management and organizational skills. Excellent customer service, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro and Microsoft Windows (10 & 11) OS, Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Teams. Background with CoConstruct, Revit, or Chief Architect is a plus.
