Key Responsibilities Review project plans, specifications, drawings, and related documents to prepare accurate electrical estimates Identify labor, material, and time requirements through digital takeoffs, site walk‑downs, and construction plan review Analyze project scope and compute costs by evaluating labor, materials, equipment, and timelines Prepare detailed takeoffs, cost breakdowns, and bid proposals Present estimates clearly by combining numerical data with descriptive project information Collaborate with project managers, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing, clarify scope, and resolve issues Identify value‑engineering opportunities and cost‑saving alternatives Assist in preparing bid packages, proposals, and supporting documentation Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project data Support the transition from estimating to project management after award Maintain and update the company's cost database Participate in project walk‑throughs and maintain technical knowledge of current materials and methods Review material and labor requirements to determine cost‑effective production or purchasing decisions Occasional local travel with possible overnight stays Perform other estimating‑related duties as assigned What We're Looking For Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, materials, and installation methods Proficiency with estimating software and digital takeoff tools (Accubid required; Bluebeam or similar is a plus) Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams Ability to manage multiple bids, deadlines, and priorities in a fast‑paced environment A proactive, detail‑driven mindset with strong problem‑solving abilities Qualifications 4+ years of commercial electrical estimating experience Proven ability to successfully secure profitable projects Knowledge of Accubid, Bluebeam & Simpro is a plus Ability to multitask in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment strong problem‑solving abilities Must be able to pass a background check
