The ideal candidate combines strong field experience, estimating expertise, and the ability to work directly with customers, vendors, and operations teams. Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Company vehicle and fuel card Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company participation Paid time off and holidays What You'll Do Independently evaluate, scope, and bid projects ranging from residential service upgrades and complete home remodels to commercial renovations, retail build-outs, and select ground-up commercial projects Meet with customers, perform site evaluations, and review project requirements Develop scopes of work for residential and commercial electrical projects Prepare complete labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor estimates Review plans, specifications, field conditions, and customer objectives Build detailed proposals and pricing packages for customer review Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing Work directly with customers, project managers, and field leadership to develop practical, cost-effective solutions Support project handoff and provide estimate clarification during project execution Ensure estimates align with NEC requirements, local codes, and company standards Maintain estimating databases, labor units, and historical pricing information Required Experience & Qualifications 10+ years of electrical industry experience, including hands-on field experience Minimum 5 years of electrical estimating experience Proven ability to independently develop complete estimates from site evaluation through proposal Experience estimating residential service work, remodels, tenant improvements, retail projects, commercial renovations, and select ground-up commercial projects Strong understanding of NEC requirements, local codes, labor productivity, material procurement, and project costing Proficient with Microsoft Office, estimating software such as EBM, ConEst, Accubid, or similar platforms, and digital plan review tools Experience working for an electrical contractor or service-based electrical company Excellent communication, organizational, and customer relationship skills Who Will Succeed in This Role? The ideal candidate can confidently walk a project, define scope, develop accurate pricing, and present practical solutions to customers. You understand both the technical and real-world aspects of electrical construction and service work and can successfully estimate projects ranging from residential panel upgrades to commercial retail build-outs and special projects.
