Job Description

Estimator - Restoration in Covington, GA A growing restoration company is looking for an experienced Restoration Estimator to support residential and commercial mitigation and reconstruction projects throughout Georgia. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented restoration professional who understands insurance-driven restoration, takes pride in writing accurate and defensible estimates, and knows how to communicate effectively with property owners, insurance professionals, and internal operations teams.
Requirements:
1+ years of restoration estimating, reconstruction estimating, or restoration Project Management experience Proficiency with Xactimate Experience preparing detailed estimates for mitigation, reconstruction, or property damage restoration projects Understanding of the insurance restoration and claims process Ability to read scopes, documentation, photographs, measurements, and other project information to develop accurate estimates Ability to manage multiple estimates and priorities simultaneously Strong attention to detail and commitment to estimate accuracy and documentation Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills Ability to communicate professionally with property owners, insurance representatives, subcontractors, and internal teams Self-motivated and capable of managing workload independently Preferred 2-5+ years of restoration estimating experience Experience with both residential and commercial restoration projects Experience estimating both mitigation and reconstruction Experience with Symbility/Cotality or other restoration estimating platforms IICRC certification(s) Experience estimating large-loss or $100K+ restoration/reconstruction projects Experience communicating and negotiating scopes with insurance adjusters Familiarity with supplements, change orders, carrier documentation requirements, and insurance program work
Responsibilities:
Inspect and scope residential and commercial property damage Prepare detailed, accurate estimates using Xactimate and other applicable estimating platforms Develop estimates for mitigation, contents, reconstruction, and other restoration services as applicable Review project documentation, photographs, measurements, scopes, and supporting information for accuracy Communicate with homeowners, business owners, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders regarding estimates and scopes of work Review and negotiate estimate discrepancies with insurance representatives when necessary Prepare supplements and revisions as additional damage or scope changes are identified Maintain accurate estimating documentation and project records Collaborate closely with mitigation, reconstruction, Project Management, and operations teams Provide clear project handoffs once estimates and scopes are approved Monitor estimating timelines and ensure estimates, revisions, and documentation are completed promptly Maintain a high standard of professionalism, accuracy, and customer service throughout the claims and restoration process
Compensation, Benefits & Perks:
