Quote Specialist / Estimator

Position Summary:

The Quote Specialist / Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and thorough cost estimates and quotes for prospective projects and customer orders. This role works closely with sales, production, and procurement teams to ensure all aspects of a job are evaluated and priced correctly.

Key Responsibilities:

Review project specifications, drawings, and customer requirements. Prepare and submit accurate cost estimates and quotations in a timely manner. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain material and subcontractor pricing. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure estimates align with capabilities and timelines. Maintain organized records of quotes and pricing for reference and analysis. Revise estimates as needed to reflect design changes or customer updates. Communicate clearly with production and sales team regarding quote details and timelines.

Qualifications:

Machining background preferred but not required Experience using Epicor ERP preferred but not required Proven experience in quoting or estimating (manufacturing or related industry preferred). Strong analytical and mathematical skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with estimating software a plus.
