Senior Estimator (Commercial Construction)
Location:
Duluth, GA (Atlanta Metro Area)
Salary:
$120,000 - $140,000Position OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead preconstruction and estimating efforts for a growing commercial general contractor in the Atlanta area. This role focuses on developing accurate budgets, managing bid processes, and supporting project success from early-stage planning through execution.

The ideal candidate brings strong commercial construction estimating experience and is comfortable handling conceptual budgets, hard bids, and subcontractor coordination. This individual will play a key role in cost control, preconstruction strategy, and client collaboration.

Our client provides full-service construction management with a strong emphasis on preconstruction planning, cost control, subcontractor management, and quality delivery across a range of commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities-Lead conceptual and detailed estimating for commercial projects-Develop budgets, cost models, and GMP proposals-Perform quantity takeoffs and scope development-Manage subcontractor bid solicitation, leveling, and analysis-Conduct value engineering and constructability reviews-Support preconstruction planning (design, schedule, cost alignment)-Collaborate with project teams from preconstruction through execution-Assist with procurement, cost tracking, and change order pricing-Review drawings, specs, and project documentation-Participate in client presentations and proposal effortsQualifications-5+ years of relevant experience-Strong commercial construction background (ground-up and/or renovations)-Experience with preconstruction, bid management, and cost analysis-Ability to read construction drawings and specifications-Strong knowledge of subcontractor trades and pricingCandidates that complete skills assessments and screening questions will receive priority consideration in the hiring process.
