In this entry-level role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for commercial and industrial construction projects, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to support successful project delivery from bid through award. Key Responsibilities Analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications to develop detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects Solicit, review, and level subcontractor and supplier bids to ensure scope coverage and competitive pricing Prepare complete bid packages, including labor, material, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead costs Identify project risks, scope gaps, and value engineering opportunities during the estimating process Participate in pre-bid site walks, pre-bid meetings, and client presentations Maintain and update the company's historical cost database and unit price library Collaborate with project managers during the hand-off from estimating to construction to ensure alignment on scope and budget Track bid results and maintain win/loss records to support continuous improvement Support senior estimators on large or complex pursuits as needed Qualifications Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Sage Estimating, or similar) Solid understanding of construction means and methods, building systems, and trade scopes Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills Effective written and verbal communication skills for subcontractor and client interactions Experience with CSI MasterFormat and unit cost estimating preferred Education Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent work experience What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with Education/work experience Health, dental, and vision benefits 401(k) with company match Opportunities for advancement within a growing organization
