Position Summary Plateau Excavation is seeking a Senior Estimator to support preconstruction and estimating efforts for heavy civil and sitework projects. This role will play a critical part in evaluating opportunities, developing competitive estimates, and supporting successful project execution. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for sitework and infrastructure projects Review plans, specifications, and bid documents Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis Coordinate subcontractor and vendor pricing Develop budgets, proposals, and bid packages Analyze project risks, logistics, and construction sequencing Collaborate with operations and project management teams during handoff Support value engineering and preconstruction planning efforts Maintain estimating databases and historical cost information Participate in client meetings and bid reviews as needed Qualifications 5+ years of estimating experience in heavy civil or sitework construction Strong understanding of excavation, grading, utilities, and infrastructure work Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications Experience with estimating software and takeoff tools Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment Why Join Plateau?
