Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating(Commercial, industrial, multifamily and hospitality), project management, and cost control. This role involves analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure accurate pricing and contract compliance. The Estimator will play a critical role in supporting our construction projects from inception through completion. Responsibilities Review project plans and specifications to prepare accurate estimates for construction projects. Utilize estimating software, specifically, McCormick to generate detailed cost breakdowns. Conduct thorough analysis of labor, materials, and overhead costs to ensure competitive pricing. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for estimates. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms. Monitor project budgets and costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to financial goals. Provide support during the bidding process by preparing bid proposals and presentations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, codes (including NEC), and best practices in construction estimating. Skills Proficiency in McCormick Estimating Software for effective estimating processes. Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contract terms. Extensive knowledge of construction estimating principles, including pricing strategies and cost control measures. Familiarity with electrical systems and construction site experience is highly desirable. Solid understanding of contracts and project management methodologies within the construction industry. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate cost estimation. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
