Job Description
Estimator - Restoration Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our restoration team. The Estimator will inspect properties, prepare accurate estimates, and work with homeowners, insurance adjusters, and project managers to ensure projects are properly scoped and approved.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect properties for water, fire, mold, storm, and other damage. Prepare detailed estimates for mitigation, reconstruction, and restoration work. Create estimates using Xactimate. Review insurance scopes and communicate with adjusters regarding approvals and supplements. Take photos, measurements, and detailed notes of damages. Work closely with Project Managers, technicians, and subcontractors. Track estimate revisions, approvals, and supplements. Explain estimates and the restoration process to customers.Key Qualifications:
2+ years of estimating experience in restoration, construction, or insurance. Xactimate experience required. Knowledge of restoration and reconstruction work. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and negotiation skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites. High school diploma or equivalent.Preferred:
Xactimate certification. Experience with Symbility or similar estimating software. Knowledge of building codes and construction practices. Experience with insurance supplements and disputed items.Compensation and Benefits:
A base salary of between $75,000 and $85,000 All employees are eligible for the following commission plan to be paid on total sales when the employee refers business toRomexterra:
- 3% of the total revenue for the mitigation project
- 1% of the total revenue for the reconstruction/repair project
- Performance review after 90 days, then annually.
