Job Overview:

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in overseeing and coordinating construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a passion for project management in the construction industry.

Duties:
  • Mange projects and scopes as assigned by PM or SPM
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Monitor and work with owner's representative to communicate progress of project
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including preliminary estimates/budgets
  • Select subcontractors to solicit bids and review subcontractor proposals
  • Solicit and process submittal and shop drawings
  • Maintain project documentation
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality control and adherence to safety regulations
  • Monitor construction progress with Superintendent
  • Investigate adverse situations and report to PM and/or SPM
  • Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during construction
  • Represent company in project meetings, when required
  • Additional duties when assigned
Experience:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Construction Management/Engineering/Architecture
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Microsoft Project, Procore and Bluebeam.
  • Familiarity with blueprint reading, quantity take-offs and estimating is required
  • Knowledge of project scheduling and time management
  • Experience in construction management or related field
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and independently on assigned projects
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills DSI has over 33 years of experience in the Construction Industry.
