Travel:
Less than 10% Sterling Engineering is looking for a global leader in construction and infrastructure technology supporting major infrastructure projects worldwide. This role will prepare accurate project cost estimates by reviewing plans, specifications, materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing while working closely with internal teams, clients, and vendors to develop competitive project quotes.
Job Duties:
Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop accurate project quotes.

Perform quantity takeoffs and cost estimates based on project scope and requirements.

Research labor costs, material pricing, production times, and other information needed to develop estimates.

Work with internal teams and vendors to determine the best solutions based on cost, material availability, and recommended assemblies.

Communicate directly with U.S. clients as needed to understand project requirements and provide accurate quotes.

Monitor addendums, scope changes, and project breakouts to ensure updates are incorporated into estimates.

Maintain detailed estimating records and compile summary reports to support future estimates.

Participate in Microsoft Teams meetings with company staff and clients.

Support construction best practices and product innovation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering required.2-3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related field.

Knowledge of ground-anchor solutions and geotechnical systems preferred.

Experience with estimating techniques, cost control, and material pricing.

Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, project specifications, purchase orders, and contracts.

Strong mathematical and computational skills, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.

Ability to work independently, stay self-motivated, and manage multiple estimating requests.
