Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer currently has a Senior Technical Estimator opportunity. This role reports into Tape Case, LLC, an Ellsworth Corporation company located in Elk Grove Village, IL, and is an on-site position. This is an exciting time to be a part of Ellsworth, come join our team! At TapeCase, we design, convert, manufacture, and distribute highly engineered adhesive tape products. We add value to the highly engineered products we sell by enhancing their delivered formats by offering expansive tape converting services to provide a custom tape solution for nearly any application. Learn more about us This role is the subject matter expert to analyze/manage project requirements, plans, and specifications to identify labor, material, equipment, and service needs. It also develops cost estimates for projects based on work scope, specifications, and contract proposals using applicable estimating methodologies and tools and utilizes project management skills to oversee a sales opportunity from technical sales through the initial production process. Responsibilities Collaborates with customers and company resources to recommend machinery and tools to use to manufacture products. Creates and documents procedures for quotes, BOM, and routing, and can train other team members. Reads blueprints, understands the quality requirements and the feasibility of the project, and creates red-line drawings for any requested changes. Uses benchmark data, trends, prior estimates, and historical pricing schedules to generate detailed cost estimates that consist of itemized lists of expenses, labor hours, material quantities, and potential cost variations. Designs and purchases production tooling, creates BOM to dictate the raw material purchases, and creates routing to set up the production processes.

QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years of experience with flexible materials required. 3+ years of experience in estimating or quoting in the converting industry required. High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Advanced knowledge of Excel formulas. AutoCAD knowledge is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written (English). Ability to effectively communicate with employees of varying education levels across multiple divisions. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
2015 standards and requirements. Strong basic math skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints required. Ability to work independently with limited supervision/guidance.
