Full-Time About the Role We're looking for an Estimator to join a manufacturing team in Gurnee, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in estimating, quoting, manufacturing, construction, metal fabrication, welding, machining, structural steel, or custom equipment. In this role, you'll review customer drawings, blueprints, specifications, and project requirements to determine material, labor, fabrication, and production costs. You'll prepare quotes, communicate with customers, and work with Sales, Engineering, and Production to make sure projects are quoted accurately. We're open to candidates coming from backgrounds such as Manufacturing Estimator, Fabrication Estimator, Construction Estimator, Project Estimator, Cost Estimator, Sales Estimator, Quoting Specialist, Structural Steel Estimator, or similar estimating roles. Experience with metal fabrication, welding, sheet metal, structural steel, tanks, pressure vessels, machining, industrial equipment, or custom manufacturing is especially helpful. If you know how to read a drawing, understand how something is built, and can break down the materials, labor, and costs involved to produce it, we'd like to talk to you. What You'll Do Review customer blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project requirements Prepare detailed estimates, quotes, and proposals Calculate material, labor, welding, fabrication, and production costs Review RFQs and determine what information is needed to provide an accurate quote Communicate with customers regarding project specifications and requirements Work with Sales, Engineering, and Production throughout the quoting process Review materials, pricing, manufacturing requirements, and lead times Assist customers with technical questions and product recommendations Maintain customer, quote, and project information within company systems Help ensure estimates meet profitability objectives What We're Looking For Previous estimating, quoting, costing, or related experience Experience within manufacturing, fabrication, construction, welding, machining, structural steel, or a related industry Ability to read blueprints, drawings, specifications, or other technical documents Understanding of materials, labor, fabrication, and production costs Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with numbers Comfortable communicating directly with customers Tank, pressure vessel, UL-142, or API experience is a plus, but not required
