We do work in Illinois and all adjacent states. Our products are manufactured in Morton, IL. We are hiring for a full time estimator position for a commercial woodworking/ cabinetry shop.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation of architectural millwork estimates in our ERP software; Review/explore documentation, specifications, and drawings, attend pre-bid meetings, etc to determine scope of work and required contents of the estimate/opportunity; Engage in discussions about the extent of the work prior to bidding to ensure an understanding of the complete scope of the project; Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis for materials, labor, and equipment; Research and obtain pricing from suppliers and subcontractors; Prepare detailed cost estimates and proposals for construction projects; Maintain accurate records of estimate data and update as necessary; Build and maintain long-term relationships with all stakeholders…. contractors, vendors, etc.
Requirements:
Familiar with architectural prints; Strong analytical and mathematical skills; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills; Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications; MUST be a solution finder when project challenges occur; Willingness to continually learn and develop new skills; Strong written and verbal communication skills; Ability to work independently as well as part of a team; Pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude. Sales Experience is a PLUS Work Remotely No - employee is required to work in the office in Morton, IL. Please do not apply if you are looking for remote work!
