Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Plumbing Estimator to join our team! Duties Prepare comprehensive plumbing estimates for commercial construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, and project documents. Utilize advanced estimating software such as Skysite or Trimble to develop accurate cost projections. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to review project scope, clarify requirements, and negotiate pricing terms effectively. Conduct detailed quantity takeoffs and cost analysis to ensure competitive yet profitable bids. Manage subcontractor and supplier quotations, ensuring alignment with project budgets and schedules. Monitor project costs during execution to support cost control initiatives and identify potential overruns early. Review contracts, change orders, and project documentation to maintain consistency with estimates and contractual obligations. Qualifications Proven experience in construction estimating, specifically within the commercial plumbing sector. Strong proficiency with Skysite, Trimble, and other construction estimating tools. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing while maintaining quality standards. Solid understanding of construction management principles, contracts, and project management processes. Hands-on construction site experience is highly desirable for accurate assessment of field conditions. Knowledge of cost control techniques, pricing strategies, and construction site safety protocols. Effective communication skills to coordinate with teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
