Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate damage and gather necessary information for estimating restoration costs. Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for projects, including labor, materials, and equipment. Collaborate with project managers and contractors to ensure estimates align with project scope and budget. Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and contracts to provide accurate estimates. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and restoration practices. Communicate effectively with clients, insurance adjusters, and subcontractors throughout the estimating process. Assist in developing and maintaining estimating templates and processes for efficiency.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an estimator in the restoration, construction, or related field. Strong understanding of restoration processes, materials, and industry best practices. Proficient in estimating software (Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Relevant certifications (e.g., IICRC) are a plus.
