D&D Electric D&D Electric is a growing, family-owned electrical contractor looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing accurate, detailed estimates and understands that a successful project starts long before our electricians arrive on the job site. This is an important position within our company. The right person will work closely with our project managers, office staff, customers, vendors, and field electricians to help ensure projects are properly estimated, planned, purchased, and communicated from beginning to end. Responsibilities The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for: Preparing detailed and accurate electrical estimates using ConEst estimating software Reviewing plans, specifications, addendums, and project requirements Visiting job sites when necessary to understand existing conditions and ensure an accurate and complete bid Performing takeoffs and developing labor and material costs Identifying potential issues, exclusions, and scope gaps before bids are submitted Preparing and managing project submittals Preparing, submitting, and tracking RFIs Working with vendors and suppliers to procure materials at the best available price Obtaining and comparing supplier and subcontractor quotations Maintaining constant communication with customers, project managers, vendors, and field electricians Helping ensure the estimating scope is clearly communicated to the field once a project is awarded Staying involved with projects to help resolve questions concerning the original estimate, specifications, materials, and project scope Maintaining organized and accurate estimating and project documentation Qualifications We are looking for someone who: Has electrical estimating experience Is fluent and experienced with ConEst software Has a strong understanding of commercial and/or industrial electrical construction Can accurately read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications Is highly detail-oriented and organized Has strong written and verbal communication skills Is comfortable communicating directly with customers, general contractors, vendors, project managers, and electricians Is willing to visit job sites and get firsthand information rather than relying solely on drawings Can manage multiple bids and responsibilities while meeting deadlines Takes ownership of their work and follows through on commitments Works well as part of a team and is willing to listen to and consider the experience and ideas of others What D&D Electric Offers Competitive pay based on experience Health insurance Retirement plan Company vehicle A stable, growing company with opportunities for long-term advancement A team-oriented work environment where experience, communication, and good ideas are valued About D&D Electric D&D Electric is a growing, family-owned business that is looking to the future .
