Job Description

Structural Steel Estimator A respected steel erector is seeking an experienced Structural Steel Estimator to support growing project demand. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, efficiency, and problem-solving, and enjoys working on impactful commercial and industrial steel projects. As an estimator, you will review bid documents, perform takeoffs, prepare competitive proposals, and work closely with project managers, detailers, and fabrication partners to ensure pricing accuracy and success. Key Responsibilities Review plans, specs, and bid packages Perform accurate material takeoffs and apply labor, material & equipment costs Prepare bids, budgets, and change order pricing Coordinate with engineering, detailing & fabrication teams Request and analyze vendor/subcontractor pricing Maintain estimating files and pricing history Support project teams during job turnover Qualifications 3+ years estimating structural steel or misc. metals Proficient in estimating/takeoff software (Bluebeam, FabTrol, Tekla EPM, etc.) Strong understanding of steel fabrication & erection Ability to read structural & architectural drawings Strong math, accuracy, and analytical skills Excellent communication and time-management Preferred Familiarity with AISC standards and steel production rates Experience with a fabricator or erector Compensation & Benefits $90,000 - $120,000 DOE Medical, Dental, Vision PTO & Holidays 401(k) Long-term growth opportunities If you're detail-driven and ready to contribute to high-impact steel projects, we'd love to hear from you. 📧 Send your resume to: justin.knitt@gogpac.com
