Job Description

Electrical EstimatorLocation:
Newton, KSSalary:
$90,000 - $130,000Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our preconstruction and estimating team. The Electrical Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive electrical estimates for commercial, industrial and ground-up construction projects, supporting bidding and proposal efforts, and ensuring estimates comply with project specifications and the NEC.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform electrical takeoffs from plans, specs, and schematics for commercial, industrial, and ground-up projects.

Prepare accurate estimates, budgets, and bids including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.

Review plans for constructability, code compliance, risks, and cost-saving opportunities.

Develop proposals, bid packages, and cost summaries; submit bids on schedule.

Collaborate with project teams, vendors, and subcontractors to gather pricing and clarify scope.

Utilize Bluebeam, McCormick, or similar estimating software to manage takeoffs and cost data.

Maintain pricing databases and support preconstruction, procurement, and project handoff activities.

Document estimate assumptions and assist with larger projects and junior estimator training.

Qualifications5+ years of Electrical Estimating experience.

Strong knowledge of NEC, electrical systems, plans, and schematics.

Experience performing takeoffs, load calculations, and cost estimating.

Proficient with Bluebeam, McCormick, AutoCAD, Procore, and Excel.

Background estimating commercial, industrial, and ground-up projects.

Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills.

Experience with bidding, preconstruction, proposal development, and budget creation.
