Job Description

The Lead Estimator will be heavily involved in the preconstruction activities process. Prepare estimates based on plans and specifications, solicit bids from subcontractors, hold pre-bid meetings and distribute design information. Creates proposals, bid presentation documents, outlines schedules, budgets, and manages bid days. Works with the project manager and senior estimator. Duties CMAR (Construction Manager at Risk) Interviews. Pre-Construction Project Lead. Design Review / Coordination. Budgeting, Estimate Creation. Estimating Accuracy & Quality Control. Bid Solicitation and Collection. Quantity Takeoff. Scope of Work Coordination. Plan & Specification Review. Contractor Pre-Bid Meetings. Bid Tabulation. Bid Presentation. Database and Data Management. Proposal Letters. Requirements Bachelor's degree in construction management or associated qualification. Or previous project management and estimator experience required. Capable of understanding plans and specifications and able to relate them effectively to subcontractors and owners. Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, subcontractor capabilities and building materials. Good working knowledge of contracts, insurance, and bonding. Familiarity with construction software for takeoff and preparing estimates. Proficient in MS office. Able to use scheduling software and capable of putting a working schedule together. Understanding of consultants' responsibilities and our obligations for Design Bid Build, Construction Manager at Risk and Design Build delivery methods. Knowledge of building code and city requirements.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
