Mid-to-Senior Level (3-5+ years preferred) Position Overview Our estimators are responsible for developing accurate, timely, and competitive cost estimates for local civil construction projects while developing new & nurturing old client relationships to ensure repeat business. In this role, you will analyze project documentation, calculate material and labor takeoffs, and compile complete bid packages while working closely with project managers, field superintendents, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for earthwork, grading, underground utilities, paving, site concrete, and other miscellaneous site work. Analyze Civil + A/S/M/E/P drawings, bid packages, front end documents, bid forms, project specifications, environmental, and geotechnical reports to identify scope gaps and potential risks. Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including labor production rates, material pricing, and equipment costs. Solicit and evaluate vendor pricing, negotiating competitive rates with subcontractors and material suppliers. Manage multiple bids simultaneously to ensure all proposal deadlines are successfully met. Facilitate smooth project handoffs to operational teams and project managers post-award. Nurture new and existing client relationships.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of dedicated construction estimating experience in heavy civil or site development.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency with digital takeoff and estimating software (e.g., B2W, Bluebeam, Insite Elevation, or AGTEK) and Microsoft Excel.

Blueprint Competency:

Expert ability to read and interpret complex civil engineering drawings and specifications.

Communication:

Strong negotiation skills and professional verbal/written communication for client and vendor interactions.

Compliance:
